Network

The Visual Studies research group is an interdisciplinary project. Accordingly, its network reaches beyond the Faculty of Social Sciences. In the course of organising a lecture series in the summer semester of 2011, an interdisciplinary dialogue was initiated between the members of three faculties of the University of Vienna and continues up to today. Three workshops followed and, finally, a symposium on 'Visual cultures: perspectives of Vienna Visual Studies' took place in Vienna from the 19th to the 20th of October 2012. Within this network, members of the following departments cooperate closely: 

• Department of Theatre, Film and Media Studies

• Department of Psychological Basic Research

• Department of Contemporary History.
