New research project 'Visual Political Storytelling'

We are happy to announce Karin Liebhart and Petra Bernhardt's grant for the project "The Austrian Presidential Elections 2016: Visual Political torytelling" given by the Anniversary Fund of the Austrian National Bank commencing in February 2017. The researchers reviewed the election campaign beforehand in the online magazine UNI:VIEW. Link to the article.

Retrospect on the Workshop 'Visual Social Media'

From June 17-18 2016 the research area hosted an interdisciplinary workshop on images in social networks. In cooperation with the renommated Visual Social Media Lab at the University of Sheffield, different research approaches were presented and tested on a stock of visual material.
