Philipp Budka is a research associate (Post-Doc) and lecturer at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Vienna. His research and teaching focus on:
- Media Anthropology and Media Ethnography (Indigenous media, media activism)
- Digital Anthropology and Digital Ethnography (digital culture, internet histories, qualitative methods in internet research)
- Anthropology of Infrastructure and Technology (transport and internet infrastructures, technology appropriation)
- Visual Anthropology (digital visual culture and communication).
